#RWC2015: exploring cap profiles

NZ
I have been looking at the playing experience of teams at #RWC2015.
I thought I would start by using a very basic measure … the number of caps won by each player.
My data are for the teams at the end of the World Cup. I have used the ESPNScrum database of international players as my source for caps.
My record of total caps per team is:
Total
My record of the numbers of players from each country in cap bands 1-9, 10-19 through to 100+ is:
Cap Profile
I think there are some fascinating issues to explore here. I was keen to measure the caps at the end of the tournament in order to give a window on the next two World Cup macro cycles, 2016 to 2019 and 2016 to 2023.
I have compiled cap and chronological age data in a Google Sheet.
The data are available here. I have formatted the sheet for chronological age of each player on the day you access the sheet.
This post in an open invitation to explore and visualise the data.
The sheet I used for my visualisation is here.
