In 2002, when I first arrived at the AIS, I became aware of the impact she had on the sport nationally and internationally. I have followed her career with enormous interest ever since.
I remember too a photograph taken by Gavin Reynolds of Lauren as an AIS scholarship athlete. I was reminded of that with today’s picture. Gavin’s picture was of Lauren sitting outside the old Australian Sports Commission Building in Leverrier Crescent.
