The official opening of the University of Canberra Sporting Commons took place this morning. Andrew Barr and Stephen Parker, amongst others, spoke at the opening ceremony.

I was unable to attend the opening but I have had an introduction to the building last week from Kevin Thompson and Mandi Semple. Thanks to Twitter I did have near real-time news of the ceremony.
I am hopeful that the Commons will become a virtual meeting place for sport as well as a delightful physical space bringing together all forms of sport.
