IASI in Leipzig June 2011

The International Association for Sport Information (IASI) is holding a Workshop on Information and Communication in Modern Elite Sport: Progress, Trends, Challenges from 28 June to 30 June 2011.
It is being hosted by Hartmut Sandner at the Institut für Angewandte Trainingswissenschaft (IAT) in Leipzig.
Workshop presenters and presentations include:

  • Gavin Reynolds (AIS, Canberra) Broadcasting material for performance analysis and performance enhancement
  • Li Guihua (China Sport Information Centre, Beijing) Sport scientific information services for coaches and scientists in Chinese elite sport
  • Hartmut Sandner (Inst. Applied Training Science, Leipzig) The development of push services for coaches and scientists in elite sport
  • Christoph Dolch (Coaches’ Academy, Cologne) – The learning platform of the Coaches’ Academy of the German Olympic Sport Federation
  • Richard Young (SPARC, Dunedin) Connecting the national sport scientific literature database of  New Zealand with an international database
  • Jürgen Schiffer and Florian Seiffert (Central Library of Sport Science, Cologne) The German virtual library of sport science
  • Andreas Amendt (Sport Library, Doha) Creating a sport library in the Arab region
  • Keith Lyons (University of Canberra, Canberra) A Wikimedia Project for Paralympic Sport
