We have had our introductory week in the Sport Coaching Pedagogy unit (#SpCP13) at the University of Canberra.
The themes for Week 2 are:
- Personal Development Pathways
- E-Portfolios
I have a SlideCast for the Personal Development pathways discussions:

I am hoping that my experience of developing an e-portfolio will be of help when we come to discuss students’ digital footprints.
For this week, students will have access to:
- Moodle
- This blog
as examples of distributed content.
I have alerted the group to Clint Lalonde’s 2009 post on Personal Learning Networks (PLN) and I am keen to explore Clint’s insights for our work, particularly in the context of Dori Digenti’s observation:
The PLN consists of relationships between individuals where the goal is enhancement of mutual learning. The currency of the PLN is learning in the form of feedback, insights, documentation, new contacts, or new business opportunities. It is based on reciprocity and a level of trust that each party is actively seeking value-added information for the other.
I am hoping that as we start to explore ideas about pedagogy and move into digital habitats, we will come to appreciate the attractiveness of reciprocity and the possibilities nurtured by trust.
