The University of Canberra is holding its 2012 Graduation Ceremonies this week in the Great Hall of Parliament.
This morning I attended the Faculty of Health’s Ceremony. The Hall was packed with graduands, families and friends.
It was a momentous day for the Faculty as this was the first cohort of Bachelor of Midwifery students to graduate.
Rhodanthe Lipsett was awarded an honorary PhD by the University and was the guest speaker at the Ceremony.
I really enjoyed her speech and her No One Right Way message was a perfect theme for the day. Graduation ceremonies always take me back to my first graduation ceremony in 1973 at the University of York. I was fascinated to hear Rhodanthe talk about a learning experience sixty-five years ago.
