This Friday (17 September) I am making a short presentation to the Australasian Sport Information Network (AUSPIN) meeting to be held at the National Sport Information Centre at the Australian Sports Commission in Canberra.
The title of my presentation is Cloud Connections. This is the Slideshare copy of the presentation:

This is a pdf copy of the presentation (8Mb) Cloud Connections.
During the talk I hope to mention a number of cloud resources that will help me explore the development of a social space for sharing sport information. I am increasingly fascinated by the role informal, self-organising networks can play in supporting the work of sport information specialists. The resources I have in mind are:
- Diigo Teacher-Librarians
- Voices for the Library
- UK Soundmap
- Mashed Library
- Zotero
- Evernote
- iCyte
- @sharetabs
I was thinking of mentioning transversal skills (learning to learn, social and civic competence, initiative taking and entrepreneurship, and cultural awareness and expression) and resting state functional connectivity too!
Although I have not included any slides about a web of entities the possibilities of semantic interoperability are not far from thoughts!
Note: “AUSPIN comprises Australian sports information providers who cooperate with each other by sharing expertise, information and experiences, as well as promoting and developing sports information management. Some information centres are not open to the public, and are dedicated to serving their funding bodies which are the state and territory institutes and academies and/or departments of sport.”
