Sunday, 16 August was Finals Day at the 2015 Netball World Cup.
Data from each of the games was available at the Tournament website.
Each of the eight games played was won by the higher INF ranked team (1 July 2015 rankings). The rankings are based on tests played from July 2010 onward. Teams appear in the rankings once they have played eight test matches. The INF has a detailed account of its ranking system here.
In Sunday’s eight games, four teams led for most their games:
Australia v New Zealand
Wales v Uganda
Singapore v Sri Lanka
Trinidad and Tobago v Samoa
Barbados overcame a strong second quarter fight back from Zambia to pull clear after half time.
Two teams took the lead in the second quarters of their games.
England overtook Jamaica at 11m 33s.
Fiji overtook Scotland at 8m 13s.
The game in which the lead changed most was South Africa v Malawi. Going into their 5th/6th game, they were separated by 2 ranking points.
The game was tied at 44 v 44 at 11m 09s in the final quarter. South Africa scored three goals in a minute and held on to win by two goals.
Mwayi Kumwenda, the Malawi Goal Shooter, was named player of the tournament. She scored 36 goals in the game against South Africa.
