I monitored the points scored per quarter in the 82 games played in the regular season. (My data are curated in this Google Sheet.)

The centre lines of the plot show the medians; box limits indicate the 25th and 75th percentiles as determined by R software; whiskers extend 1.5 times the interquartile range from the 25th and 75th percentiles, outliers are represented by dots. (There were four games that required over time and each outlier dot is shown for these games.)
