For Whom?

This morning, one of the blogs I manage received a comment from the Electric Crepe Griddle (ECP).
It was struggling to find a place in the Comment cue, competing against all manner of fake clothing items and accessories. There was lots of medical advice to overcome too (I did not realise there was such a big market for haemorrhoid treatments).
ECP observed:

Write more, that’s all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what you’re talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?

I was keen to take this advice to heart. I was somewhat taken aback though. There are no videos on the site and there is lots of text.
I wondered how to respond to this sage advice. I thought I would start by sharing it with you.
Perhaps ECP has a real handle on current issues … at least in crepe making. I am intrigued that it is diversifying into narrative form.
At times like this I am grateful to Akismet and Kate Carruthers. Kate writes:

I moderate all comments and publish most, unless they appear (to my totally subjective gaze) to be defamatory, spammy, hate-mongering, not particularly constructive, or just plain rude/crude.
