I have been following the 2013 Six Nations’ performance data provided by the Official Website for the Tournament.
This is my first look at some quantitative data. I have a Google Sheet of these data here.
Most of the data types are self-explanatory. The one addition I have made is to look at how many more lineouts than scrums there were for Winners and Losers (Lineouts > Scrums).
Over the five weeks, and for the Tournament as a whole, the Winners’ averages (rounded to whole numbers) were:

These are very similar profiles but I am particularly interested in Winning teams’ first half dominance and overall discipline. I think the phenomenography of each game can give us the granular detail.
There was one drawn game in the competition, Ireland v France, in Round 4.
