Leigh Blackall was a guest presenter at the Creative Research Discussion Group at the University of Canberra today. Leigh’s presentation was titled Why Would I Do A PhD? By the time he presented at 12.30 his blog post had received eight comments in an hour. (Nancy White was the first to post a comment and the eighth comment was from Dave Cormier.)
Leigh’s presentation stimulated a vibrant discussion. He will be writing up his thoughts and responses to the discussion.
My hope is that the profound ethical dilemmas that Leigh’s position acknowledges can be resolved. He is a most remarkable advocate for open society.
