130719 Performance Against Ranking 2013 Football Season

Introduction

This is a sixteenth post about performance against ranking in three football codes in Australia.
The codes are Australian Rules, Rugby League and Rugby Union

Australian Rules

Four of the nine games played in Week 16 did not follow 2012 rankings. Brisbane, Carlton, Frematle and Collingwood were the teams winning the encounters. Brisbane overcame a 15 point deficit against North Melbourne at the end of the third quarter. Fremantle overcame a 2 point deficit at the end of the third quarter to defeat West Coast.
Average cumulative season and Round 16 profiles for winners were:

Rugby League

There were four games in Round 18 of the competition. All four games followed 2012 rankings.
The Sea eagles, Sharks and Panthers won away from home. The Bulldogs defeated the Storm at home and kept them to 0 points in the game.

Rugby Union

It was the final week of the regular season in Super 15. Two of the seven games played did not follow 2012 rankings: the Rebels defeated the Highlanders and the Force defeated the Brumbies. Five games followed the rankings with the Stormers recording a win against the Bulls at home.
